Following a major fire in the production process, we were enlisted in late 2022 to take on the monumental challenge of demolishing the structure surrounding Ravensdown Awatoto’s main plant room.

Our team worked diligently to remove the cladding, roofing, and timber structure by using crane baskets, scissor lifts, and ‘z-booms’. This allowed investigators to access the site and evaluate the extent of the damage. We overcame all obstacles and ensured the building was safe for assessments to proceed. It was a testament to our dedication and commitment to ensuring the safety of everyone involved. Thinking outside the box and taking a different approach allowed us to conquer the considerable challenges and successfully finish the project.

Our team wore full protective coveralls and P2/P3 filtered masks while working against the elements and toxic fire damaged material. Despite the challenges, we completed the demolition ahead of schedule, enabling us to proceed with further clean up works.
